Fundamentals of Microwave Engineering
Objective
- To understand application of microwave network theory and scattering matrix to passive component design
- To study application of smith chart for impedance matching in microwave systems
- To analyze propagation of EM waves through various types of waveguide
- To understand theoretical principles underlying various active devices
- To learn to design microwave filters using distributed elements
- To assemble a microwave test bench comprising of active and passive components and various methods of measurement at microwave frequency
